Reviving the LBT10 Taxpayers Association
Dear Neighbor,
A number of years ago our area of Long Beach Township had a taxpayers association called LBT10 representing the ten communities south of Brant Beach down to Beach Haven. At that time, I was a member of the Association but not being a full time resident I was not able to take an active role in the group. Somewhere along the way with those leading LBT10 retiring or moving to Florida interest began falling off and the Association fell asleep.
While there are other taxpayers associations on the Island our area of Long Beach Township and the Island is not represented by any group. Armed with an old e-mail list I thought I would reach out to past members to see if we could bring back the LBT10 Taxpayers Association. While a few past members responded most have perhaps moved away or for other reasons did not respond.
My interest in bringing back the Association is to create a community organization to work with Township officials and others to make Long Beach Township a better place to live, vacation and work. Membership participation would include benefits such as:
- Opportunities to meet with Township officials
- Communication to keep you informed about Island news
- Information on upcoming ordinances, community updates and events
- Website and Facebook communication tools
- Stay connected with updates on news and issues that affect the Township
- Beautification projects that enhance our experiences here on the Island
I would like to ask for your assistance in bringing back an association working for all of us living and visiting our Island. Included with this letter is an application form which includes a request for an e-mail address. Please let me know of your interest in participating in the revival of LBT10.
Sincerely,
William H. Malone, Jr. – President
